On Saturday, metro Detroit was hit with a record-breaking snowfall, which saw up to a foot or more of snow throughout the area and tens of thousands lose power due to downed power lines.

Near Eight Mile Road and Groesbeck Highway at the Detroit-Warren border, a transformer caught on fire. YouTuber "Buddy List" caught the fire on video, showing a series of eerie, bright blue flashes of light before the full-on blaze.
