What's the most famous movie set in Michigan?

Well, this is kind of a let down.

Apparently, the movie Michigan is best known for is American Pie, the raunchy 1990s "comedy" about two high schoolers who make it their mission to get laid on prom night. Granted, the movie's writer Adam Hertz grew up in Grand Rapids and did base parts of the film's script on time spent there.

Still, we'd have thought that films such as Gran Torino, RoboCop, or even 8 Mile would have gotten honorable mention.
