Someone registered — and it probably wasn't Kevyn Orr

Per a tip from an astute MT reader, if you direct your browser to you'll now find a "launching soon" page. Smaller copy reads "Detroit's coup d'etat has brought to you by" and goes on to list the logos for law firm Jones Day, Quicken Loans, DEGC, Detroit Future City, Bank of America, UBS, and ALEC. Even smaller copy below that lists a lengthy fair use notice.

Call it a hunch, but we're guessing Detroit's Emergency Manager most likely did not register this domain.

It's kind of amazing Orr hadn't snatched this domain up already, but since he never had to campaign to be Emergency Manager, why would he?

If you haven't read Curt Guyette's in-depth cover story about Detroit's bankruptcy yet, check it out here.
