A report on NerdWallet.com has found that Livonia is the best place to look for a job in Michigan.

NerdWallet, a consumer advocacy site, factored in median income, monthly homeowner costs, population growth, and unemployment rates.

According to the report, “The city saw 4.6 percent growth in the working-age population between 2009 and 2011, and its households’ median income was $69,887. Livonia’s unemployment rate was also one of the lowest in Michigan, at just 4.2 percent.”

Dearborn came in at number three, with Rochester Hills at number four. Royal Oak placed number six.

“Royal Oak is located in Oakland County, approximately 14 miles north of Detroit. Royal Oak’s households earned a median income of $62,495 in 2011 while the city’s unemployment rate was 5.3 percent in August 2013.”
