I play drums in George Morris and the Gypsy Chorus, Le Voyage, and VSTRS, all of which are relatively new bands. Previously I was in FUR. Each band has its own sound, which makes it interesting for me to adapt to the different styles. It gives me the opportunity to play more shows and stay busy. Bands go through different cycles, so while one may be writing and recording, the others are still playing live shows. It’s also nice to travel, even if it’s just a short distance. And it’s interesting to play in different settings and venues. Recently I played at a high school with George Morris and the Gypsy Chorus, which didn’t seem too exciting at first, but it was refreshing to play to a different audience with fresh ears. I also have the opportunity to hear some of the newer emerging bands, which there seems to be a lot of right now.
