The White Stripes.
The only thing that Jack White could do to make White Stripes fans any happier right now would to reunite with Meg for a reunion show.
Third Man Records' latest installment of its Vault series celebrates 20 years of the White Stripes with
three LPs of live recordings from 2000-era White Stripes shows that took place in Detroit.
Called
The White Stripes Live in Detroit: 1999-2000-2001, the three LPs show Jack and Meg doing what they do best at three separate shows in Detroit over a three-year period. The first was a show at the Magic Bag in 1999, up next was the Magic Stick in 2000, and lastly was a show at the legendary Gold Dollar during the summer of 2001.
Each live album in the three-LP set will be cut here in Detroit at Third Man Records and "housed in a custom die-cut sleeve that stylistically deconstructs the Stripes’ album released the year that corresponds to the live performance," according to TMR.
The live records also come with reproduction prints of the Jack White-designed concert posters from the shows featured on the live recordings.
Luckily you can listen to some of the live songs via SoundCloud right now. A roaring rendition of "Fell In Love With a Girl" from the 2001 summer party at the Gold Dollar is one for the history books.
