We learned today from Uproxx that Eminem appears in one of the Detroit Pistons' new "Follow the Oop" promos. It even references his best-known number.

Their take on it and the video itself are below.

The team decided to reach out to a number of Motown’s biggest celebrity fans to make some funny clips to support the Pistons in a video series called “Follow the Oop,” which follows one ball being passed around (with clearly no concept of a shot clock?) Anyway, a few of these include stars like Whiplash star J.K. Simmons and Kid Rock (sorry), but perhaps the best came from Detroit’s brightest star of the past 20 years, Eminem.

While searching in his fridge, he finds a familiar meal has been already been eaten, giving a not-so-subtle nod to his B. Rabbit role in 8 Mile. Marshall rarely makes appearances in ads, so clearly this was a project, however goofy, close to his heart. Detroit rhymer Big Sean also got in on the fun for the hometown team.
