Updated 9:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20: The Foo Fighters deny they crossed the Westin Book Cadillac picket line. This story has been updated.
The Foo Fighters lost their hero status in the eyes of a Detroit-based hospitality union, who allege the "Everlong" rockers snuck past the picket line outside of the Westin Book Cadillac — a charge the band denies, however.
The Dave Grohl-fronted band performed to a nearly sold-out crowd at Little Caesars Arena on Monday night, after which the union alleges they snuck past the picketers. Unite Here Union 24 took to Twitter to clapback at the band to make the accusation and remind them that being a scab is the antithesis of rock 'n' roll.

However, on Saturday, Oct. 20, Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett took to Twitter to refute the accusations. He says the band did not stay at the Westin Book Cadillac, but rather the Foundation Hotel.

He even pointed out that he had posted a photo in solidarity with the union on his personal Instagram on Sunday, Oct. 14 before the show.
As the strike for higher wages and job security wraps its second week following the Oct. 7 walkout by nearly all 160 hospitality staff employed by the Marriott-owned hotel, several upcoming events scheduled for the Westin Book Cadillac — namely the CityLab Detroit conference and Business Leaders for Michigan's Michigan CEO Summit — are considering relocating if an agreement isn't met, Crain's reports. The downtown Detroit hotel has been a long-serving go-to for most incoming artists and celebs.
When asked for comment, the Foo Fighters' rep declined.
