Check yourself before you wreck yourself — otherwise you might miss self-proclaimed "crazy mother fucker" and triple-threat Ice Cube.

Detroit Goon Squad's Trick-Trick will host the 97.9 WJLB Takeover along with the radio station's own Bushman for a night of hip-hop greatness on Saturday, Sept. 29. N.W.A. founder Ice Cube will headline with support from the godfather of Bay Area hip-hop Too $hort, and Spice 1, also from the Bay Area, will take the stage.

The last time Ice paid a visit to Detroit he had sold out Chene Park Amphitheatre in 2016. 2018 will see the release of his 10th album, Everythang's Corrupt. Most recently Ice Cube founded BIG3, the 3-on-3 pro basketball league, which is set to visit Little Caesars Arena on Friday, July 13. But more importantly, last month the rapper turned actor announced that he was finishing the script for what will be Last Friday, the third sequel in the stoner comedy series.

Tickets for The Takeover go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 6 and start at $83. They can be purchased here
