As part of a promotion for the Detroit Institute of Arts' D-Cyphered exhibition — a collection of Detroit hip-hop photography by Jenny Risher, on view through Feb. 18 — the museum handed its Instagram account over to rapper Trick Trick this week. The rapper is making his way through the DIA, offering his commentary on some of the museum's works of art.

Let's have a look at how things are going so far.

Here's a photo of Trick Trick and the Goon Sqwad posing next to a photo of... Trick Trick and the Goon Sqwad. How meta!

Here, Trick Trick admires Risher's portrait of Ma Dukes, the mother of the late J Dilla.

Trick Trick admires the photography of Carrie Mae Weems, writing simply "Strong black woman" as the caption. Weems' work is on view as part of the DIA's Making Home exhibition, on view until June 6.

And lastly, Trick Trick admires... a rug. "What’s up with this rug?" he asks. "It’s got to be special. It won’t match nothin; in my house, but it’s a nice rug."
