The Sights burn down the Motor City tonight on CJAM 99.1

The Sights, obviously one of our two or three fave purveyors of song, din and drink, released yesterday its latest rekkid, the aptly titled Most Of What Follows Is True, on the mighty L.A.-based Alive label.

The album's great; it's filled with sing-song themes of self-reproach and waning innocence, all delivered with the heartfelt zeal of a modern-day Faces. So do your duty and purchase a copy at your local indie record store.

To celebrate said release, the band'll be featured on-air this evening (Wednesday, 11.17) on Willy Wilson's Motor City's Burning radio show (CJAM 99.1), broadcast live from Rustbelt Studios. Note that Wilson's 6:30-8 p.m. program, which we've shamelessly pimped in this space before, features killer Detroit music, past and present.

More, the Sights will be kickin' in the jams this Saturday night at Ferndale's glorious Loving Touch (22634 Woodward; 248.546.3644). The band promises "surprise guests" and the $9 cover gets you in the door and a copy of the band's new album (on cd or yellow vinyl!).  Prussia and Big Mess are also on the bill.
