Solar Plexus Power of Babooshka

Sweet screams and jagged juts, Odd Hours swing through metallic milieus on spark sputtering electrical wires, dispelling the toe-tappers for the boot-stompers and exploring the possibilities of evil-ing up new-wave, griming up glam and Frankenstein-frying a disarmingly melody-keen post-punk slaloming to a no-wave penchant for healthy chaos.

Mid-low female vocals capture a disarming sultriness in these storms, affecting lower croon-ish moans that can flare up into throat-curdling screams; with drums spanning tribal trounce to measured march, steady 4/4's to slamming storms, while the guitars groan, chirp and wail out an entire noise-noodled orchestra's worth of fuzz-drenched timbres, atonal jukes and cathartic cat calls.

JUNE 30th - The Old Miami - this Detroit trio (guitar/drum/synth) offer their dark, punctured-punk/pop grooves on an EP -recorded out in Ypsi at Space Camp (the HQ of heavy/hazy power trio Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor).

Solar Plexus Power of Babooshka is the trio's 2nd EP.

Opening the night's noises will be - Ferndale Acid Scene, N-2 Submission (featuring The Impaler) and Future Slang - spanning the gamut of mutant blues, ambient noise-pop, shredded psyche and who-knows-what-else...
