R.I.P. Allen Touissant

Word arrives today that the great New Orleans musician Allen Toussaint, whose work spanned decades and influenced dozens of other important artists (not to mention getting sampled quite a few times), died this morning at the age of 77, while on tour in Spain. Toussaint is one of the key New Orleans musicians no matter which way you slice it. Let's celebrate N.O. style — with a party, soundtracked by his soulful music.
