NYC house sensation Levon Vincent just gave away his brand new record for free


Over on his own Facebook page, radical house musician Levon Vincent has posted the link to free downloads for his brand new album, which hits shops tomorrow. Our guess is that Detroit Threads will have the physical version, very soon. Cursory listens to a few tracks have our brains dribbling out of our ears. 

Vincent, who's released tracks and remixes since at least 2002, has been a favorite of house heads everywhere for years. You could almost say that he's a modern Arthur Russell, using hypnotic and heady techniques from minimalist music while also, you know, bangin'. (I am so not an expert on dance music, so don't take my word for it, though) 

After thanking a parcel of friends and fans, he writes this awesome mini-manifesto on his Facebook page:

This is music for the ugly ducklings of the world. Music for swans. If you're a member of the rat race, climbing around a dumpster with the other rats vying for power, you may of course listen, but know - this is not music for you. This is action against you.
