The good folks at Stones Throw Records are currently running a contest encouraging people to create brand new video content for any song in their wide catalog. Everything from Jaylib to Mayer Hawthorne to MF DOOM and beyond is fair game and there's a $1,000 cash prize going to whoever creates the best video.
The winner also gets a chance to direct an upcoming Stones Throw video so this is something people should check out. Detroit video hounds need to jump in on this. At least one already has. Check out a crazy, cartoon-enhance video created by Detroiter Steve Smith for Dilla's "Geek Down" track off of his much lauded album, The Shining.
