It should come as no surprise that a young rock band from Frankenmuth — a Bavarian suburb that boasts the "world's largest CHRISTmas store" — would choose to bring it all back home for the holidays.
The elvish foursome known as Greta Van Fleet will perform their largest Detroit show to date with what is being called a "very special holiday show" at the Fox Theatre on Thursday, Dec. 27.
The band last performed in Detroit earlier this year they took over the Fillmore for three consecutive sold-out nights. This time around, though, they'll be armed with their first full-length record, Anthem of the Peaceful Army (out Oct. 19).
While we remain firmly attached to the Greta Van Teet, we are not alone. In the past year they have amassed major kudos from the likes of Elton John, Justin Bieber, and Robert Plant, who is admittedly jealous of GVF's spry frontman Jake Kiszka. The band's latest single, "When The Curtain Falls," has already accumulated 12 million streams and over two-million YouTube hits.
Tickets for the band's Fox Theatre performance go on sale Friday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. and start at $43; they're available here or by visiting Greta Van Fleet's official site.
