The ocean is filled with frappucino straws, weed is still classified as a Schedule 1 drug, and our damn president is an overprivileged human Cheeto.

Just when we've given up hope, Ms. Lauryn Hill comes along.

Since the release of her stark and seminal debut 20 years ago (and inarguably the greatest female rap album of all time), The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, the ex-Fugee has not released a studio album.

So, what do you do when you only have one fucking amazing record that shaped the entire hip-hop world as we know it? You celebrate each totally perfect track, and that's exactly what Lauryn Hill is planning to do.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th-anniversary tour will kick off July 5 in Virginia, and will wrap in St. Louis in early October. She'll grace the stage of the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill on Friday, July 20 at 6 p.m., two days before she headlines Chicago’s Pitchfork Music Festival on July 22.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 20 at 10 a.m. and start at $27 for lawn seats and $49.50+ for pavilion seating. Tickets can be purchased here.
