For many Michiganders, Bob Seger is more than a hometown musician — he’s the embodiment of the Midwestern everyman. And after more than 50 years of performing, Seger has decided to put his “Night Moves” to rest. The Roll Me Away Tour finds the 73-year-old accompanied by his Silver Bullet Band for a final trek across the U.S., which includes several makeup dates after Seger was forced to reschedule last year due to spinal surgery. While Seger has yet to announce a Detroit date, we’re hoping he’ll do it right. The last time he performed close to home, Seger served as the final performer to take the stage at the Palace of Auburn Hills in 2017, closing the night with “Rock and Roll Never Forgets.” In the meantime, this Saginaw show might be the last chance for Detroit area fans to catch him.
Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3 at the Dow Event Center; 303 Johnson St., Saginaw; 989-759-1320; doweventcenter.com; Tickets are $85+.
