Yo La Tengo will play an all acoustic set on January 29, 2016, as part of the 39th annual Ann Arbor Folk Festival at the Hill Auditorium. They're playing the same night as Richard Thompson, too! Oh man, this is really something to look forward to, now. Which reminds us, hey, we've also got the full listing for who is performing at the AA Folk Fest, so yeah why don't we post that after a handful of our favorite acoustic performances by Yo La Tengo.

The first video posted here was shot by our music editor Mike McGonigal in Georgia and Ira's old Hoboken apartment 28 years ago, using a clumsy VHS recorder he borrowed from his video art class at NYU (he didn't know what an external mic was at the time, so lay off).
