What has six number one singles, a 24/7 hotline that provides emergency services to those in need of a song-fix, and one — sometimes two — very powerful mustaches?

If you answered the number-one best selling duo in music history, Hall & Oates, you would be correct and now you're probably involuntarily compelled to hum “Rich Girl” — you're welcome.

For nearly 50 years, Hall & Oates have been enchanting the masses with their soft-rock royalty status and their unmatched songwriting sorcery — and they're bringing their hit-making charisma to the Michigan Lottery Amphitheater at Freedom Hill on Friday, Aug. 23.

OK, so that’s a pretty strong opinion, but let’s run it down —“Sara Smile,” “Private Eyes,” & “Maneater,” “She’s Gone,” “Kiss On My List,” and “You Make My Dreams Come True” is but a minor sampling of the duo’s legendary contributions to the tapestry of pop music. If you feel differently, well, you might just be “Out of Touch.”

Tickets ($39.50) go on sale starting Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased here.

And if you've got a hankering for some Hall & Oates, their catalog is but a phone call away, just dial 719-266-2837 for the Callin' Oates hotline.
