Get ready for Western Where, a jukebox 45 country label that's an offshoot of Urinal Cake, and the first release is by Autumn from Rebel Kind!

The other day Eric Love, head honcho of Detroit's great label Urinal Cake, wrote to tell us of his newest venture, "I started a new label called Western Where. Just jukebox country 45's. The first record is Autumn from Rebel Kind. Here's the soundcloud link! She's filming a video for it in Joshua Tree at the beginning of March."

Please check back here in a month or so, as Metro Times is super proud that we get to debut that video. In the meantime, one of Autumn Wetli's songs from the 45 is in the link right above these here words.

"One of the reasons for starting the label besides loving real country music first and foremost, is that there are so many great musicians that are friends of mine/ or are in bands that I like that are actually amazing country song writers/ musicians," Eric says. "I mean really some of the best I've heard. So I wanted to showcase that and give them something that honors that side of them and in what better way than a jukebox 45. I don't believe there is a label like that in our circle that promotes that and I wanted to promote that. Urinal Cake was/ is a big production for me so I wanted to do something the exact opposite but keep it as simple but as good of quality as it could be. Always a fan of jukeboxes, pinball machines/ that time period in music. All records will be the exact same, 2 sides (no A or B side), vintage looking, jukebox label, jukebox sleeve, limited to 200 (100 gold/ 100 black) and pressed at Archer! We had our first showcase of the label this past weekend at UFO and it was a lot of fun! Danny Kroha (not on Western Where...yet! ha) headlined."

And Ms. Weli performs a song off Zuma from that show four nights ago, right below these words.

Who shot this thing? It looks great.
