Fawn's Coastlines

Out this June on Quite Scientific

This Detroit quartet demonstrates the impact of earnest pop when it’s bolstered by four minds already finely honed into sensibilities for atmospheric augmentation, shred-it-up-energy, wholesome-smacking new-wave grooves and knotty rhythmic patterns –

The reason their “debut” sound has such strong presentation is that this band -as-a-unit- has been building towards it for a year (but then, even more than that - they’ve each all been developing in other respective pop-heavy punk-burst bands for almost a decade - Kiddo, Javelins, Nice Device, Those Transatlantics...Child Bite, too and Thunderbirds Are Now!).

Enticing hooks and major tones – pop without the saccharine perkiness; sunny-day melodies decorating otherwise gnarly guitar roars, the always evocative (especially if complimentarily-synced) boy-girl harmonies over kicking, spilling drum bursts and good ol’ 90’s indie rock guitar-torches.
