In an interview with Bandcamp, Choker cites filmmaker Spike Jonze and soviet songstress Regina Spektor as influences and loves fellow Detroiter, Danny Brown. On his follow-up, 2018’s Honeybloom, Choker channels driving-along-the-coast indie jams à la Tame Impala.
