Dancin' shoes

Paxahau Event Productions, producers of the Movement Electronic Music Festival, has announced a partial listing of performers and headliners, as well as ticket info for this year's festival — one of the largest in the world — which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this spring and will run Saturday, May 29, through Monday, May 31, in Hart Plaza. In other words, as always, it all comes together Memorial Day Weekend. Paxahau has also announced that this year's official corporate sponsor of the fest will be Ford Motor Company.

Early bird weekend passes go on sale today (Wednesday, March 10) until 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, April 3, for only $40. The price for weekend passes increases to $50 after the discounted early bird promotion ends. Early bird tickets can be purchased exclusively at paxahau.com/movement. The festival is an all-ages event, by the way. Kids under the age of 12 years receive free admission, and families are encouraged to attend. Gates open at noon each day and close at midnight each night.

The following three acts are the main stage headliners for Saturday, Sunday and Monday: Richie Hawtin presents Plastikman (Saturday); Inner City – Live (Sunday); Model 500 – Live (Monday).

It's Loco Dice's first area appearance since he and Luciano as a team closed out the main stage of last year's Movement festival. He will be joined by Martin Buttrich, who'll play live, and the Romanian duo Livio & Roby. Both acts are making their Detroit debuts, playing music that ranges from underground deep house to cutting edge techno from around the world.
