City Slang: Ty Stone plans the End of the World

Dec 5, 2012 at 9:26 am

Ty Stone will play a show at the Magic Bag in Ferndale to celebrate the end of the world predicted by the Mayan calendar. In other words, make this the last show that you will ever see, ever. After that, kaboom. Possibly.

According to a statement, “Performing with his band The Truth, Stone has tapped a stellar lineup of Detroit rock and country standouts, including Don “Doop” Duprie, Christina Chriss and Joey Fava from Kaleido, Brandon Calhoon, Caleb Gutierrez and Christian Draheim of The Infatuations, Paulina Jayne, Matt D’Mits, Paulina Jayne, and Pat V to support him at this high-energy show of talented singer/songwriters.”

“I can’t think of a better way to wind down the year than with a monster show that features so many of my own favorite Detroit musicians and vocalists”, says Stone. “I’m also really excited for everyone to check out my new band – the harmonies that we’re kicking out together are amazing! This promises to be a very big night of some of Detroit’s most talented musicians performing great music. I'm very proud of what we’re putting together.”

Doors are at 7, tickets are $10.
