Following the story about Circus Freak Stomp Boxes in this week’s Gift Guide, the Detroit School of Rock and Pop has announced that master of sonic sound Bruce Egnater will be hosting a “Pedal Building Class.”

The class takes place on Saturday, December 7, and costs $260.

Egnater says, “"Have you ever thought about how cool it would be to work on or even build your own guitar pedals? Where do you begin? How do you find good information? We are offering a unique opportunity to learn about and actually build your own pedal at our One day pedal building seminars. The classes are held at the Detroit School of Rock and Pop, in beautiful Royal Oak, Michigan located just North of Detroit (Rock City).”

“Here’s how it works. When you sign up for the class, you are also purchasing a BYOC Yellow Overdrive Pedal kit. Each “student” has his/her own work station for the day. We walk you through the process of building your pedal one step at a time. You can’t fail because we are there to guide you. We take the fear out of it. You are guaranteed to walk out at the end of the day with a great sounding overdrive pedal that you built with your own hands and can be proud of.”

“This is a fun and exhilarating day of learning and building. There is a no more gratifying feeling than taking on the challenge and succeeding at building something with your own hands. Understand this will be an intense session. It is important that you arrive well rested, and ready to “go for it”. You will see from the following pages it is important that everyone stay focused and arrive on time. The classes we have held in the past have been a fantastic success. They do fill quickly so don’t hesitate too long to sign up.”
