The Sights, and front man Eddie Baranek, have announced the release of a new book called Taken Alive, made up of tour diaries and blogs written during the recent tour with Tenacious D. Former MT featured ed Brian Smith contributes the foreward and two articles.
According to the press release, “To celebrate the release of the book/DVD, the Sights will host a concert/picnic at New Center Park in Detroit on Saturday July 27, 2013 at 7:00 PM. The Sights will headline the evening of rock, soul and pop with support from JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound (Chicago), and Nadir (Detroit) and Six and the Sevens (Detroit). Video from the Taken Alive DVD will be played between sets. Admission is free, the concert is open to all ages, and food and beverages will be available for purchase.”

A premium package that includes a first edition of Taken Alive signed by all band members, the DVD, and 14 x 20 posters from both the November 2012 and July 2013 gig is available now for limited time. The book/DVD will also be available for purchase at New Center Park.”
