The new EP from Palaces, Side Effects of Dreaming, will be released on 7” on April 30.
According to a statement, “Detroit-based hypnotic rock duo PALACES began as an outlet to explore different sounds and influences but quickly transformed into a full-blown mantra of ethereal sounds and unorthodox song structures designed to put listener’s in a rhythmic trance. The group’s second EP, "Side Effects of Dreaming" will be released on April 30th and will encompass the sounds of hazy psych and shoegaze that seem to be well-suited for a late night séance. In the past few months PALACES has shared the stage with The Big Sleep (Frenchkiss), El Ten Eleven, Jacco Gardner (Trouble in Mind), Beacon (Ghostly Int'l), The Octopus Project (Austin,TX), Breton (Fatcat/UK), PUJOL (Third Man/Saddle Creek) and more. With transcendental minds and eyes on the future, the duo will continue to make music a spiritual experience.”
Palaces plays the Blowout on May 3.
