Ben Folds, Awolnation, and Eddie Money top Arts, Beats, & Eats lineup

Arts, Beats, & Eats announced details regarding the beats portion of the Royal Oak-based festival Wednesday afternoon and it's full of 90's earworm makers and one aging shaker.

Eddie Money and Awolnation;top the bill along with "Father of Mine" rockers Everclear, Gin Blossoms, and longtime quirky piano man Ben Folds. They will all take to the Michigan Lottery National Stage along with high-guy Matt Nathanson, country boy Chris Janson, and Motown's own, the Spinners.

Now in its 21st iteration, Arts, Beats & Eats will take place during Labor Day weekend Aug. 31-Sept. 3 and will host 200-plus music acts across eight stages. You can also look forward to over 50 restaurant vendors and 19 beer stations, in partnership with Imperial Beverage.

Other new additions include a silent disco to the roster of sonic attractions. Arts Beats and Eats will also continue its longstanding tradition of giving back the community by hosting a food drive in support of Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan.

Arts, Beats, Eats will take place Fri., Aug. 31 through Mon., Sept. 3 starting at 11 a.m. in downtown Royal Oak; artsbeatseats.com; Admission is free before 5 p.m. on Friday, and ranges from $3-$7 throughout the weekend.
