The Loving Touch is hosting the first ever Detroit Duo Fest that will expose you to some two-person rock angels. Parker Bengry of the Messenger Birds created this fest where the duos will play half hour long sets back-to-back on two stages. His duo along with The Kickstand Band, Yum, Tart, The Sugar Bombs, Junglefowl, Boogie Knights, Rogue Satellites, and The Boy Wonders will all be jamming Saturday night with their individual styles of rock from punk to garage. And rocking out at this fest will be for a good cause because proceeds from special event posters will go towards assisting the Flint water crisis.

Saturday, August 13, The Loving Touch, doors at 7 p.m.; 22634 Woodward Ave., Ferndale; 248-820-5596; $10
