Feeling thirsty or hungry? Here are a few after-work ideas for you.

Out Ypsi way, Arbor Brewing Company is having a release party for its Euchre Pilsner, the brewery’s seasonal favorite. Drink it and drink in its history, as told by head brewer Justin Rivard. Takes place 6-7 p.m. tonight in the lounge, at 720 Norris St., Ypsilanti; 734-480-2739.

Out on the east side? You can brush up on your grilling skills with a special class tonight called “Grilling on the Terrace.” Participants will make a grilled Caesar salad with carne asada, Mexican street corn, and a grilled banana split sundae, and eat them too. Arrive hungry. The class is 6:30-8:30 p.m. at 32 Lake Shore Rd., Grosse Pointe Farms; $48 per person; preregister at www.warmemorial.org/food-drink.

Down on Woodward, you might drop in at Grand Trunk for the happiest happy hour downtown, with regular drafts going for just $3 from 6 to 8 p.m. That’ll leave some change for a nice after-work dish from their talented kitchen staff, at 612 Woodward Ave., Detroit.

On the health end of the spectrum, consider a discussion in Ann Arbor called “Raw Foods: Traveling in the Raw, with Ellen Livingston.” It happens 7-8:30 p.m. at the People's Food Co-op of Ann Arbor & Café Verde, 216 N. Fourth Ave., Ann Arbor; 734-994-9174; free.
