Wine outside — As discriminating oenophiles know, wine can taste different outdoors than it does indoors. Perhaps it’s the play of sunlight or the soothing breezes, but the experience of drinking wine outdoors isn’t just different, it’s so often better. Especially after our sun-starved winter! The good people at Ferndale’s Assaggi have come up with a way to mix sun and vino, as they’ve announced a wine tasting to take place on their Tuscan patio, weather permitting. It happens 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, and will feature summer whites and reds. It all happens at 330 W. Nine Mile Rd., Ferndale; 248-584-3499.
