Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka

Launched in 2010 in Austin, Texas, Deep Eddy is a line of premium vodka that can boast that it's both gluten free and devoid of high-fructose corn syrup and artificial flavors. In the five years since the small batch vodka first appeared on shelves, the brand has added flavors like cranberry, ruby red, and sweet tea. Now, Deep Eddy is announcing another new addition to its budding offerings. Deep Eddy welcomed Lemon Vodka to its line at the beginning of the year, and starting this month Michiganders can enjoy the sweet, thirst-quenching vodka to their hearts' content.

The release of a refreshing lemon-infused liquor is exciting for a couple reasons. To start, it’s the first flavor to be released since the brand opened its giant distillery in Dripping Springs, Texas. Secondly, it’s made in that 30,000-square-foot distillery employing a special process that includes being distilled 10 times in a state-of-the-art, 20-foot column that removes impurities and creates a smooth finish. It’s also filtered slowly over charcoal to preserve the vodka’s subtle flavors.

Lovers of flavored vodka can expect a growing profile from the Texas-based small batch distillers. Though no word on additional flavors has been yet released, the folks behind Deep Eddy have noted that with the addition of the new lemon flavor, they’ll continue to round out their flavor profile.
