Drink UpBell's Hopslam Ale | 10% ABV:
This winter seasonal employs six different hop varietals brewed together for a massive, face-puckering heaping helping of bitter. It's massively dry-hopped using Simcoe hops, giving it the most complex hop schedule of Bell's entire portfolio.
Aside from those nearly overwhelming hops, seasoned beer lovers will also pick up on grapefruit, stone fruit, and floral notes, all of which are present thanks to those Pacific Northwest hop varieties. This brew is also nice and malty with plenty of body thanks to a generous helping of honey.
Only available during the cold months, Hopslam has a shelf life of about six months. It's available in both bottle and on draft. Want to try it before you buy it? It'll be available at Polar Beer Fest at the Royal Oak Farmers Market on Jan. 17.
