Last week, we brought you news that a new festival dedicated to all things vegan will take over Eastern Market this summer. Now, we have news that's going to maki you crave your favorite Asian dishes.
Detroit Sushi Festival, a sushi-tasting event featuring maki, sashimi, nigiri, and plenty of wasabi, will set up shop inside Eastern Market on Friday, Aug. 24. While a list of vendors has not yet been announced, a website for the event promises a ticket to the festival will include 10 samples and a commemorative pair of chopsticks, plus live entertainment and access to vendors.

Early bird tickets go on sale on Wednesday, Feb. 28 for $27. A VIP package with 10 additional samples, free drink token, reserved seating, and private restroom access are $54.
