Barbecue and Ice Cream — For two whole days, the Detroit BBQ Company will host a pop-up restaurant at Ferndale’s Treat Dreams, providing a great chance to try some of the finger-lickingest barbecue in metro Detroit. The Detroit BBQ crew may not have a brick-and-mortar space, but their food trucking and catering have proved that they churn out some darn good brisket, sausage, burnt ends and more. Then the craft ice cream of Treat Dreams will provide a sweet ending — or perhaps even a savory one, as the ice cream shop is known for some really out-there experimental flavors, more than 750 in all since it was founded several years ago. It all happens 5-9 p.m. Friday, March 28, and 3-9 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at 22965 Woodward Ave., Ferndale. To learn more, see Treat Dreams’ Facebook page.
