Black Restaurant Week starts today — here's the line up

The first annual Detroit Black Restaurant week kicks off today and highlights the city's many wonderful black-owned restaurants. BlackMetroEats.com's Kwaku Osei-Bonsu and Lauren Bates organized the event, which includes casual and fine dining options.

Participants, broken down by casual/fine dining, include:

House of Pure Vin will also host a wine tasting on August 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. that will feature food pairings from some of Detroit's up and coming female chefs.
