BBQ gets rock 'n' roll in Ferndale

Barbecue has been all the rage for quite a few years now. It has, however, somehow managed to elude downtown Ferndale for the most part (save a little festival named Pig and Whiskey, of course). Well, that has era has come to a close. Zeke's Rock n' Roll BBQ has officially opened its doors on Nine Mile in downtown Ferndale.

Offering traditional BBQ menu items – from brisket to pulled pork, smoked sausage, burnt ends, ribs, macaroni and cheese, corn bread, the whole nine yards – in addition to creative takes on Southern dishes, it certainly doesn't disappoint. BBQ pasta, bacon and jalapeno dip, jalapeno mac and cheese, shaved Brussels sprouts with brown sugar – it's all delicious and exciting without being too far out in left field.

The interior lives up to the name on the building. Rock n' roll is here to stay. The Ramones play in the background and the interior decorated in an upscale shabby manner. It's truly is rock n' roll – with a full bar to match. Looks like you just found your new lunch spot in Ferndale..
