A new Latin restaurant, tequila bar is coming to Corktown

A new restaurant focused on "tequila, mezcal, and Latin food" is in the works for the former Red Corridor and Casey's Pub space in Corktown.

From the appearance of its social media accounts, Toma Detroit is still in the early stages of redeveloping the location as its owners just received the keys to the space last week. We've reached out for comment.

The owners are tied to Southwest Detroit's Tequila Cabresto, and former La Noria and El Barzon general manager Eddie Vargas is also involved, Eater reports. Though there are few details, Toma's Instagram account provides some hints on what's in store. The restaurant is located at 1830 Michigan Ave.
