Gleaners Community Food Bank and HungerMitao are partnering on a virtual event to raise awareness and foster community engagement aimed at ending hunger in Southeast Michigan. This launch signals an ongoing effort to raise awareness of food insecurity and encourage volunteerism and philanthropy among the Indian American community and others.
HungerMitao, a national volunteer driven organization, channels the resources and contributions of the Indian American community to fight hunger through the Feeding America network of food banks. In the four years since its launch, the movement has enabled over 35 million meals for the network.
