Sip, Savor, Stomp

Sip on over 150 wines from 90 different wineries, savor cheeses, chocolate, and wine-inspired cuisine, and stomp to live music at the Metro Times’ biannual edition of Sip Savor Stomp. The wine-tasting event suits both novice and experienced wine drinkers. It’s fun and informative and all the wines are available to purchase at discounted prices from Westborn Market. While cheese, crackers, and other small snacks are complimentary, food from Woodward Ave. Chili, Sanders, Maria’s Salsa, Messy Dave’s, Dave’s Sweet Tooth, Slow Jams, Jar Head Salsa, Backwoods Mustard, Detroit Bold Coffee, Pat’s Gourmet Brittle, Scotty O’Hotty, and McClure’s Pickles will be available for purchase. Local cover band Priceless Live will be playing covers throughout the evening. VIP entry begins at 6:30 p.m.; general admission begins at 7:30 p.m.

Every winter for the past eight years, brave souls in the Detroit area freeze for a mile in just speedos and Santa hats while running along Woodward Ave. from Campus Martius. The event is a fundraiser run by Halo Detroit to benefit local charities.
