Racism in Education: The Cost of Our Silence

Women Confronting Racism will hold their seventh annual conference— “Racism in Education: The Cost of Our Silence.” Michelle Adams, Henry M. Butzel Professor of Law at the University of Michigan and author of the recently published book The Containment: Detroit, the Supreme Court, and the Battle for Racial Justice in the North, will be the opening keynote speaker. Morning and afternoon breakout sessions will feature topics on children’s literature, antiracism parenting, school boards and antiracist policies. A keynote presentation by Glenn McIntosh, higher education executive, transformational speaker, and tireless advocate for educational equity and inclusive excellence, will close the day.
