Marche du Nain Rouge after party

Haven’t heard of the legend of the Nain Rouge? Then read our cover story by Lee DeVito before heading down to the Marche du Nain Rouge this Sunday in Detroit. The guest of honor, the Red Dwarf himself, will ride in on a cockroach chariot and speak on the steps of the Masonic Temple. Afterward you can celebrate the Nain’s banishment by dancing to DJs like Mister Joshooa, Aran Daniels, Peter Croce, and Ponchartrain at TV Lounge. Fabulous dress, outrageous costumes, and red attire is encouraged. (21+)

Santa Speedo Run
Every winter for the past eight years, brave souls in the Detroit area freeze for a mile in just speedos and Santa hats while running along Woodward Ave. from Campus Martius. The event is a fundraiser run by Halo Detroit to benefit local charities.
