Lil' Ed & The Blues Imperials in Concert

Chicago blues royalty Lil’ Ed & The Blues Imperials launch Monroe County’s 33rd Annual Black History Month Blues Series with a free concert on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. The band’s big sound, fueled by Lil’ Ed’s gloriously rollicking slide work, deep blues string bending, and his rough-edged, soulful vocals, is as real and hard-hitting as Chicago blues gets. Their infectious energy, joyful showmanship, and masterful playing have been honed to a razor’s edge by 30+ years of playing together, including a raucous 2004 Blues Series appearance at the RRCA.
