Jam Drive

When: Thu., Nov. 9, 6:30 p.m. 2017

With a mission to inspire kids to take up practicing musical instruments, the Gabriel Music Society and Hungry for Music are hosting this musical instrument drive that will directly benefit Detroit school children. Guests can donate instruments, then stick around to enjoy live music by ONEFREQ and the Gabriel Brass Band, plus some soul and jazz tunes spun on vinyl by DJ Mike. If you’ve got a donation, but can’t make it to the event, donations will also be accepted at Third Wave Music located at 4625 Second Ave. in Detroit.

Starts at 6:30 p.m.; 715 E. Milwaukee Ave., Detroit; eventbrite.com; Admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
