Are you ready for some detuned art-rock, ’80s style? Benjamin Miller’s band God Knows Who re-formed in August specifically to work up the music they used to perform in the 1980s at venues like Joe’s Star Lounge, the Performance Network, and the Ann Arbor 16mm Film Festival. “As an art rock septet with two rhythm sections, GKW was often considered too loud with little commercial potential,” they’ve written on their website. The group had three cassette-only releases, and that’s it, one of them called Live, Perspire and Be Phosphurous, so you know they’re a bunch of awesome nerds playing handmade instruments with live tape backing.
