Detroit Sonnet Slam

In celebration of Shakespeare’s birthday and National Poetry Month, InsideOut Literary Arts and Shakespeare in Detroit will host our fourth annual Sonnet Slam Wednesday, April 23rd at Chroma from 5:30-7:00pm! Admission is free with registration and open to all ages. HOW IT WORKS: InsideOut Literary Arts and Shakespeare in Detroit each assemble a team of the city’s finest poets and theatre artists to perform sonnets (14-line poems) in a slam-style atmosphere. InsideOut’s team features sonnets by selected contemporary poets and Shakespeare in Detroit’s team features Shakespearean sonnets.
