Beyond the frame: visions and voices from the Levant diaspora

Photographs from a participatory photography project will be displayed, showcasing the work of five artists, organizers, and visionaries in the Palestinian and Lebanese diaspora. Levantine food will be served. Grounded in a grassroots interpretation of the photovoice participatory action research (PAR) methodology developed by Caroline C. Wang and Mary Ann Burris, this project and exhibited work explores the stories behind\within the photographs that are shaped by the journey in-between and within places, experiences, and reflections.
