4th Annual Hamtramck Stadium Juneteenth Celebration

4th Annual Hamtramck Stadium Juneteenth Celebration. Free Event for all located at Historic Hamtramck Stadium within Veterans Park in Hamtramck Michigan. Event begins at noon with speech by Derrick Hale, grandson of Detroit Stars and Detroit Cubs player Eulyn "Red" Hale. At 12:45pm, the Turkey Stearnes Home Run Derby takes place featuring local baseball prep stars. Followed by award ceremonies at 2:15pm, where the winners of both the Turkey Stearnes Foundation Juneteenth Multidisciplinary Art Contest and Home Run Derby scholarships will be acknowledged. At 3pm, the Tribute baseball game between the 15U and 18U Nike Detroit RBI teams begins.
