You go, Ghoul

After Anita Schmaltz’s intimate profile of everyone’s beloved Ghoul just over a month ago, here is his Royal Freakiness returning to the airwaves of the Motor City. Now, is our paper indirectly responsible for this joyously slimy turn of events or is it just synchronicity? Who cares! The important thing is that the Ghoul will drive everybody as crazy as they wanna be on Saturday, Oct. 27 (after you’ve been up late Friday night), from 12:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Channel 20 in Detroit. This 30th anniversary celebration of the King of the Movie Show Hosts brings the scary one back to his rightful place in our video hearts and minds. So stay sick, turn blue and then give Channel 20 an earful of your desire to have the Ghoul back regularly on Detroit TV ASAP. Call the station at 248-355-2020 and check its Web site at For more on the Ghoul, see
